On Feb. 6, between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., two suspects wearing heavy clothing attempted to steal diesel from trucks along Hwy. 660.

Camera footage captured the incident and some details of the vehicle, which is believed to be a light coloured pick-up truck.

However, the footage is too poor to identify the suspects involved.

RCMP are asking anyone with any information to call the detachment at 780-343-7200, or Crime Stoppers.

Bonnyville RCMP are reminding residents to be careful when it comes to providing information over the phone.

Last week, a resident complained to police about a scammer calling and claiming they were from the CRA.

Bonnyville Sgt. Sarah Parke said it's important to remember this scam is still active, and to be weary when providing personal and confidential information.

Police recommend telling them you will call them back at a better time, and calling the CRA directly.

Between Feb. 6 and 7, a 51-year-old Bonnyville resident had his garage broken into on 44 Ave.

The only item stolen was a car battery.

Police are looking for any information on the incident.

At 8 a.m. on Feb. 7, RCMP were called to a complaint from an adult female claiming her father had assaulted her mother in a Bonnyville residence.

The 41-year-old man was charged with assault causing bodily harm, and overcoming resistance.

Bonnyville RCMP are reminding residents there is a bylaw in-place for operating snowmobiles in town.

Off-highway vehicle operation within the Town of Bonnyville is strictly for travelling from a residence to a permitted area and back, to load onto or off of a trailer, or when the town has authorized its use.

When travelling through town, users are reminded to use alleys and lanes only.
