Search warrants yield stolen vehicles

BONNYVILLE – Bonnyville RCMP have laid charges against a suspect in connection with thefts from Canadian Natural Resources sites within the MD of Bonnyville.

During the execution of a search warrant at a rural property in the MD of Bonnyville on April 15, RCMP recovered a stolen vehicle and other property resulting in charges being laid against Dean Gamache, 34. He faces two counts of theft over $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and mischief over $5,000.

After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Gamache was remanded in custody.

Vehicle recovered

In a separate incident, Bonnyville RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on 51 street in Bonnyville on April 17, resulting in the seizure and recovery of a stolen vehicle, according to an RCMP press release.

Robert Woods, 46, of Bonnyville, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and failing to comply with a release order.

Ryan Bugeja, 32, of Bonnyville, is charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and resisting arrest.

After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, both men were remanded in custody to appear in court in Bonnyville on April 23.

Fuel tank

Bonnyville RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of a Westeel fuel tank believed to have been stolen between April 12 and April 16.
