What's on your summer reading list?

Growing up, one of my favourite past times in the summer was sprawling out in the yard, on the beach, or anywhere really to lose myself in whatever book I was reading.

Growing up, one of my favourite past times in the summer was sprawling out in the yard, on the beach, or anywhere really to lose myself in whatever book I was reading.

I vividly remember spending hours reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows one summer, and having to take multiple breaks to deal with all of the deaths. (No spoilers!)

I usually prepare a summer reading list, and enjoy trying to finish them all before the days start to get chilly.

I normally read three books at a time, and am carrying a book with me in my bag in case I get the chance to read for a couple of minutes during the day.

Right now, I’m reading Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King, Interview with a vampire by Anne Rice and The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware.

Since it’s a well-known fact that I read, I often have people asking me for book suggestions or what my favourite book is. (I never have an answer for that one!)

This prompted me to combine my love of reading and writing into a blog that I call the Bookworm Chronicles, and I post reviews of most of the books I read during the year. I keep track of my book pledge on there, and share the best books I read at the end of every year.

I couldn’t bring a lot of book when I moved to Bonnyville, because they take up a lot of space. I had to leave a lot of my personal library at home for now, but managed to bring as many as I could justify.

The craziness of moving stopped me from writing out my summer reading list this year. But, I plan to work my way through what I managed to bring. I’ll never run out of books to read, because I always end up adding new books to my cart whenever I’m shopping.

But, I’m always curious about what other people are reading. I’m always looking for suggestions to add to my never ending to-read list, and enjoy hearing reviews from fellow bookworms.
