Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter to express my enthusiastic support for the Bonnyville & District Fine Arts Society’s plan to develop a new community performing arts centre at the existing community centre, the Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre. As you may or may not know, the current performing arts space, the Lyle Victor Albert Centre, will soon be demolished to make way for the Bonnyville Centralized High School expansion. The loss of the LVAC will be a huge loss for Bonnyville and surrounding area if the push to relocate is not supported. To put in context my endorsement of this endeavour, my name is Lyle Victor Albert and for the last thirty-three years it has been my honour to have my name associated with this vital and vibrant performance art space.

Growing up on a farm outside of Bonnyille, the availability to the arts was crucial to my development as a future playwright. The BCHS Drama Club was a outlet to express my creativity, opening doors to the the reality that someday I could make this my profession. Having a space to encourage others with similar goals and aspirations is essential to the richness and vitally of the Bonnyville community and the creative forces within. Thank you for allowing me to pledge my support for this exciting new project by the Bonnyville & District Fine Arts Society.

Sincerely,

Lyle Victor Albert
