RCMP investigating break and enter at Fas Gas

Residents noticed a police presence at the Bonnyville Fas Gas last week, after a break and enter. It was 5:30 a.m. when officers were called to the local gas station, after an employee reported a break and enter that had occurred sometime overnight.

Residents noticed a police presence at the Bonnyville Fas Gas last week, after a break and enter.


It was 5:30 a.m. when officers were called to the local gas station, after an employee reported a break and enter that had occurred sometime overnight.


The suspects stole cash and other items from the store.


Working with the Bonnyville General Investigative Section (GIS), local RCMP are investigating the incident and are requesting the public’s assistance.


Anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area of 50 Ave., and 47 St. between the hours of                    11 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, and 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, are asked to call the local detachment at 780-343-7200, or Crime Stoppers.


Kehewin business broken into


On June 16 at about 7 p.m., RCMP received a call for a commercial alarm at a busienss on the Kehewin Cree Nation.


It was confirmed it had been broken into.


Nothing was reported stolen, and the incident is still under investigation.


Rural residence hit twice in the matter of a week


Sometime overnight from June 14 to June 15, there was a break and enter at a rural property where tools and a television were stolen.


Police are asking anyone who sw or heard anything suspicious on Hwy. 881 around the time of the incident to call the local detachment. 


The same location was broken into again on June 17, and more items, such as household appliances and a yellow Dodge Challenger, were stolen.


Motel calls 911


A 911 dispatch came through to local RCMP on June 16 where a male was breaking windows at a Bonnyville motel. A 42-year-old Nova Scotia male was arrested and charged with mischief.


Late-night visitor


A rural resident called RCMP after an intoxicated male started banging on his door on June 11 around           11 p.m.


Officers were called to a residence on Hwy. 41, where the caller claimed an intoxicated male was banging on the door.


When officers arrived, the suspect had left. He was located on Hwy. 41, when a driver nearly hit the man stumbling down the middle of the road.


After locating the male, officers attempted to make an arrest, but the suspect fought back, and was subsequently charged with unlawful possession, resisting arrest, and mischief.


He will appear in the Bonnyville Provincial Courthouse on Tuesday, July 24.
