The Lakeland Catholic School District (LCSD) announced three new principals for the upcoming academic year.

Vince Spila will be bringing his eight-year career as principal at Dr. Bernard Brosseau Middle School to an end, as he gets ready to transition into the same role, but at Notre Dame High School (NDHS).

“I look forward to the new opportunity to work with staff, students and parents at NDHS while continuing to enhance existing programs,” he said in a release.

Taking his place at Dr. B, will be Assumption Jr./Sr. High School’s current principal, Michele Revoy.

Chantel Axani-Rawlake will also be making a big move as she steps out of her role as NDHS principal, and into Revoy’s previous position at Assumption.

“The central office approached me and it’s an opportunity for me to be working with another set of stakeholders and furthering the mission of Lakeland Catholic Schools,” said Revoy, who has been serving Assumption school for eight years.

For Axani-Rawlake, it has been just over a year since she was appointed principal at NDHS.

“I have had an amazing year with the students, staff, and families there. I learned about myself as a leader, as well as how to best serve the students with the school. I’ll miss being a part of this staff,” she said.

During her time with NDHS, Axani-Rawlake saw the completion of the school’s modernization, which included additional gym space, classrooms, and office areas to provide an open and welcoming school for staff and students.

“I’m really excited about the things that happened during my time. We completed the modernization of the high school, and we were fortunate enough to host the minister of education and have a opening celebration of our newly modernized high school,” she detailed.

Revoy is confident that her time at the junior and senior high school level will pay off.

“I have experience in the whole area of programming, time tabling, and just managing all the many different activities that take place at a school this size and with this many grade levels in it,” mentioned Revoy.

All three principals are excited about the journey they’re about to embark on.

Revoy said, “I’m bringing with me my wealth of experience with Lakeland Catholic and a good solid understanding on what Lakeland Catholic stands for and the fact that we work to serve the needs of every student.”

Axani-Rawlake looks forward to “working with the team at Assumption, and bringing my leadership style to Assumption.”
