Dear Editor,
The UCP is hoping you’ll still be so angry at Notley and Trudeau that you ignore the shell game they’re playing with the recent provincial budget.
Kenney claims that the cuts are necessary to address the province’s deficit. If the deficit is such a problem, then why are we also cutting revenues with billions in tax cuts? He claims that the tax cuts are to help drive growth. Isn’t industry growth at maximum capacity, limited by our ability to export? He claims that our ability to export is limited by the anti-oil policies of the federal Liberals. Why would an “anti-oil” government spend billions to buy out a pipeline from its original investors? It’s time Albertans stopped accepting such shallow excuses for cuts.
