Angus Thomas Cote has served nearly half of his 120-day sentence.

As of his appearance in the Bonnyville Provincial Courthouse on Tuesday, Oct. 22, Cote had spent 39 actual days, or 58 enhanced, behind bars.

After pleading guilty to possessing a loaded gun clip contrary to an order, Cote was sentenced to serve 120 days in prison.

Cote was arrested on Sept. 14 after Lac La Biche RCMP received a report from a peace officer that an impaired male, who was experiencing a drug-induced psychosis, had a loaded gun clip in his pocket at a Lac La Biche gas station.

The male was complaining of chest pains, and claimed to be seeing things that weren't there.

EMS attended the scene and Cote was later arrested by RCMP.

He appeared via CCTV from the Edmonton Remand Centre, and as of Tuesday, had 62 days left to serve in jail.
