Four arrested by Cold Lake RCMP in relation to break and enter

Cold Lake RCMP have arrested four after a pursuit with police earlier this week. On June 5, at approximately 11 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP received a 911 call about a break and enter in progress at a residence on Cold Lake First Nations.

Cold Lake RCMP have arrested four after a pursuit with police earlier this week. 


On June 5, at approximately 11 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP received a 911 call about a break and enter in progress at a residence on Cold Lake First Nations. 


Officers located the suspect vehicle on Hwy. 897, where the suspects fled and failed to stop for police. 


The vehicle continued to head north on Range Rd. 424, where it struck a ditch, rolled, and landed upright on its wheels. 


Three suspects were arrested at the scene without incident, while one suspect fled on foot. They were later apprehended with the assistance of Police Dog Services. 


An investigation determined another suspect was involved in the break and enter who was not in the vehicle. This suspect was also later arrested. 


RCMP seized a loaded sawed off shotgun, other stolen firearms, and additional stolen property from the earlier break and enter. Cash and cocaine were also seized. 


Dustin Ryley Desjarlais, 30, of Cold Lake has been charged with 14 Criminal Code charges including break and enter, two counts of careless transport of a fire arm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm. 


Desjarlais is charged with additional offences and has been remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 13, 2018 at Cold Lake Provincial Court.


Brandon Lloyd Sanregret, 25, of Armstrong, B.C. has been charged with 16 Criminal Code charges and 1 charge under the Controlled Drugs & Substances Act including flight from a peace officer, break and enter, three counts of resisting arrest, and possession of cocaine. 


Sangregret is charged with additional offences and has been remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 13, 2018 at Cold Lake Provincial Court.


Lawrence Whitney Cole Desjarlais, 23, of Cold Lake has been charged with 14 Criminal Code charges and 1 charge under the Controlled Drugs & Substances Act including flight from a peace officer, break and enter, two counts of careless transport of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of cocaine. 


Desjarlais is charged with additional offences and has been released from custody in order to appear in Cold Lake Provincial Court on July 11, 2018.


Joshua Lawrence Desjarlais, 28, of Cold Lake has been charged with 24 Criminal Code charges, one charge under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and two charges under the Traffic Safety Act including flight from a peace officer, assault of a peace officer, three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, break and enter, two counts of careless transport of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of cocaine, two counts of unauthorized of a firearm, and breach of recognizance. 


Desjarlais is charged with additional offences and has been remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 13, 2018 at Cold Lake Provincial Court.


Patricia Cardinal, 23, of Cold Lake has been charged with 13 charges including flight from police, and careless transport of a firearm. 


Cardinal is facing additional charges and has been released from custody in order to appear in Cold Lake Provincial Court on July 11, 2018.
