It was approximately 10:20 p.m. on April 12 when officers and EMS were called to a single vehicle collision on Range Rd. 420, also known as Baywood Rd., in Cold Lake.

The driver and two occupants sustained minor injuries after the car lost control while travelling northbound and skidded into the ditch. The vehicle rolled onto its roof.

According to RCMP, the northbound lane was closed until roughly 11 p.m. while police continued to investigate.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.

Police respond to children walking on thin ice

On April 9, police were informed of several young children standing on the ice at Kinosoo Beach.

Officers attended and patrolled the area, however, didn't locate the youth.

RCMP are reminding the public to stay off of the ice on Cold Lake, and stress anyone travelling on the ice poses a risk to themselves and the first responders required in a rescue.
