On Aug. 31, at around 1:30 a.m., Bonnyville GIS and RCMP officers conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 28 near the Village of Glendon.

The vehicle was believed to be involved in the trafficking of methamphetamine in the Bonnyville area.

A search of the vehicle revealed one ounce of crystal meth, among other items typically used in drug trafficking.

Budenski was charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking meth. He was released after a judicial hearing and will appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on Sept. 18.
