Bonnyville RCMP charge two suspects after a drug trafficking investigation

Bonnyville GIS conducted a drug trafficking investigation with the help of Edmonton ALERT and Cold Lake GIS, resulting in the arrest of two suspects.

Police were investigating two suspects were believed to be trafficking cocaine in the Town of Bonnyville.

On May 9, RCMP executed a search warrant of a local residence, and arrested 30-year-old Kristi Fauth, and 37-year-old Nicholas Stovell.

Police searched their residence for evidence in relation to the drug trafficking offences.

Fauth was released from custody on a recognizance with conditions for charges related to drug trafficking, and also has been charged under the Drug Endangered Child Act.

Stovell was charged with possession of a scheduled substance, among other charges relating to failing to comply with conditions, which are related to multiple previous drug trafficking charges.

He will remain in custody until his first court appearance in the Bonnyville Provincial Courthouse on May 15.
