The 4 Wing Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) has been named a recipient of this year’s Bell True Patriot Love Fund.

“The 4 Wing MFRC is very thankful to have been selected for the Bell True Patriot Love (TPL) Fund grant. It allows us to provide more opportunities when it comes to supporting our military members, families, and veterans,” said Nathalie Logan, marketing and communications manager for the organization.

The TPL fund, which is offered in collaboration by Bell Let’s Talk and the True Patriot Love Foundation, is a multi-year initiative that provides annual grants of $5,000 to $75,000 to community mental health programs.

The local organization was excited to hear they would be receiving even a portion of the $1-million distributed through the fund to programs across Canada.

With the funding they receive, 4 Wing MFRC plans “to continue providing the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training workshops,” Logan explained.

This is one of the many services the local organization offers.

Logan said grants like the TPL fund are vital to programs like theirs.

“Getting these types of grants helps the 4 Wing MFRC in continuously providing programs and workshops that support our members, veterans, and their families. Providing these programs lets our community know that we’re always here as a resource and support them. Grants like the Bell TPL fund help us help those in need of a little extra support.”
