Two women robbed at gunpoint on main street

RCMP are looking for help tracking down two men involved in an armed robbery in Bonnyville last night.

According to a press release, two men wearing face masks approached two female employees of the Bargain Shop on main street at 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 as the women exited the store.

One of the men pointed a gun at the victims and demanded they drop their bags.

After the women complied, the suspects grabbed the bags and escaped on foot, heading north on 48 St. from 50. Ave.

There were no shots fired or injuries.

One of the suspects is described as male, between five-foot-seven and six feet tall. He was wearing a white plaid lumberjack-style jacket and dark pants. He was holding a dark handgun.

The other suspect was between five-foot-seven and six feet tall and wearing dark clothing.

Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around that time to call the RCMP at 780-826-3350 or crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
